The large size makes it perfect for wrapping across a light top for those cool spring evenings. During the summer use ti as a swim suit cover up. It's fun, versatile and interesting. The edging is richly textured and gives the entire shawl a luxurious weight. I have a passion for the motifs used in Irish crochet - only with different threads and yarns. This shawl is a good example of that. Instead of using size 10 or 20 thread I used a size 3, which is larger, but not all the way into yarn territory.
